Johnson (24-2-1) will enter this bout having defended his 125-pound
title nine consecutive times dating back to 2012, putting him one behind
Anderson Silva’s longstanding UFC record of consecutive title defense.
Johnson was previously scheduled fight against Reis at UFC 201 in July
2016 before an undisclosed injury forced him off the card. However, upon
returning, Johnson was paired up with The Ultimate Fighter 25 winner
Tim Elliot. The Seattle native successfully defend his crown once again,
putting him one step closer to tying Anderson Silva’s record
